2011 – Wounded Knee Four Directions Toby Eagle Bull Memorial Skatepark built on Pine Ridge by "Monk" Hubbard
2021 – launch of Ground Control indoor skatepark – Lakota Skateboarding – and new media studio
2022 – Lakota Future Inc. as 501(c)(3)
2023 – Ground Control brings Skateboarding competition to Lakota Nation Invitational (LNI) as Shredd Nation
Ground Control is a place for kids after school and on weekends and holidays to chill, work out, shredd, drop in and get creative. All donations in 2026 cover so much across so many departments that it is hard to allocate it towards any particular need or emergency. Donations helps cover the basics operations: maintenance and repairs, gas money for field trips and runs to Rapid City, lunches, batteries, winter gloves, blankets, electric bills, materials for skate ramps, rails, and coping, mics and portable sound...
Donations and grants to our nonprofit, Lakota Future Inc., support and make possible what's going on at Ground Control indoor skatepark on Pine Ridge Reservation. Donations also bring in designer boards, wheels, knee and elbow pads and helmets, and supply a full service repair shop and build it on your own board... all free to the kids.
Our garden was awesome this year and next year will be bigger. In 2026, we are installing a full service kitchen with the Skaterz Cafe serving up traditional and healthy choices: industrial stove and dishwasher, refrigeration and freezer, grill, work stations, and baking oven are on the list. And there will always be popcorn during movies nights, talent shows, and community meetings.
Lakota Future and Shredd Nation are part of a new media evolution in storytelling and communication. We have a 3000 sq. ft. green screen insert stage and multicamera studio tied to a performance stage. We are installing a lighting grid for tv series and a full on sound booth to record music and dialogue, all tied in to our master control, edit bay, and multicam production console.

"I'm kyle Mesteth - CEO and founder of Ground Control indoor skate park slash multimedia studio. We do music, skateboarding, video, everything. So the whole idea of this was to bring Ground Control to LNI. And basically that's what we got going on here. We got music; we got video; we got skateboarding. We got it all happening here."
