Lakota Future Inc. Core Fund Donation
We provide a space where skateboarders, artists, and creators come together to dream, collaborate, and bring their visions to life. We build opportunity and create possibility for the youth of the Oglala Sioux Tribe on Pine Ridge, South Dakota. Our mission is to inspire self-expression, fuel innovation, and build a community that pushes boundaries in art and movement. ~ Kyle Mesteth and his mom Suzy, operate Ground Control and Lakota Future Inc.

All donations in 2026 covers so much in so many departments, it is hard to allocate it towards any particular need or emergency. :) Every donation helps cover the basics first at 22 Apache Drive -- maintenance and operations, gas money for field trips and runs to Rapid City, lunches, batteries, winter gloves, electric bills, materials for ramps and rims...
Around the clock, Ground Control Skatepark on Pine Ridge Reservation offers kids a place after school to chill, work out, shredd, drop in and get creative. Donations bring in designer boards, wheels, knee and elbow pads and helmets, and supply a full service repair shop and build it on your own... all free to the kids.
Our garden was awesome this year and next year will be off the hook. Coming soon with your help, we are installing a full service kitchen with the Skaterz Cafe serving up traditional and healthy choices. Industrial stove and dishwasher, refrigeration and freezer, work stations and baking oven. And there will always be popcorn during movies nights, talent shows, and community meetings.
Lakota Future and Shredd Nation are part of a new media evolution in storytelling and communication. The 16,000 sq ft all season facility has a 2500 sg ft green screen insert stage and multicamera studio. Donations help us build media capacity and production training opportunities. We are currently finishing carpentry and acoustical treatment for our edit bay and multicam control room.
